Miraculous Escape: Pedestrians Survive Dramatic Crash in MilwaukeeIn a remarkable turn of events, four people managed to escape serious injuries in a two-car collision in Milwaukee, where one of the vehicles rolled over two pedestrians on the sidewalk. Surveillance footage captured the dramatic incident, leaving onlookers in awe of the survivors' miraculous escape.

Defying the Odds: Pedestrians Emerge Unscathed from Harrowing Crash

Collision at 24th Street and National Avenue

The incident occurred on a Saturday evening at the intersection of 24th Street and National Avenue in Milwaukee. Surveillance video shows a dark SUV turning into the path of a speeding car, resulting in a violent collision. The impact of the crash propelled one of the vehicles onto the sidewalk, where it rolled over two unsuspecting pedestrians.Despite the alarming nature of the incident, the pedestrians managed to escape with only minor injuries. Nery, a witness who was attending a nearby birthday party, described the scene, saying, "All of us were eating and suddenly I heard a sound like a brake. Then we heard a hit and all of us left the party. We went to see and there was the car."

Pedestrians' Miraculous Survival

Slowing down the surveillance footage revealed a crucial detail that may have contributed to the pedestrians' survival. It appears that the car struck an old pedestal, causing it to veer slightly to the right, sparing the couple from the full force of the sliding vehicle.Nery, the witness, confirmed the pedestrians' remarkable escape, stating, "Yes, they are fine, they had a few scratches, they scraped their knees and elbows. But they are fine, thank God." The video shows the woman getting up and going to the back of the car to assist the man, who was still on the ground, while the passengers in the car can be seen crawling out of the back window.

Witnesses Recount the Harrowing Incident

Another witness, Cha Song, provided further details about the aftermath of the crash. He described the scene, saying, "The guy was having a hard time breathing, the girl was crying, she said her shoulder got messed up. She had scratches on her. They were sitting on the ground crying."Despite the traumatic experience, Song expressed his relief that the pedestrians were not more seriously injured. "I thought for sure they were killed. But I'm really happy that they're doing good, they're OK," he said. "That was really scary for me."

Calls for Improved Intersection Safety

The incident has prompted calls for increased safety measures at the intersection. Cha Song suggested that a stoplight should be installed, as he noted that the area has been the site of frequent crashes.Milwaukee police reported that four people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car that collided with the SUV was issued tickets for reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and driving without insurance. The remarkable survival of the pedestrians in this dramatic crash has left onlookers in awe and has highlighted the need for improved safety measures at this intersection to prevent similar incidents in the future.
