Peja Strobl, a standout player for Upper St. Clair High School, has been selected to compete for the NBA Academy Select roster, a team composed of talented international players. In his most recent game against Howard Pulley, Strobl showcased his skills, playing 16 minutes and scoring 11 points on 4-for-11 shooting. He also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and added one steal, demonstrating his well-rounded abilities on the court.Prior to this impressive performance, Strobl had already made his mark, scoring a combined 11 points in three previous games. In the opening game against the loaded Nike EYBL team MoKan Elite on July 10, Strobl grabbed five rebounds and had one assist, proving his versatility and ability to contribute in multiple facets of the game.

Since then, his recruitment has continued to expand, with additional interest from programs such as Bowling Green, Buffalo, Canisius, Loyola (MD), California-Santa Barbara, and Holy Cross.

Expanding the Pittsburgh High School Basketball Recruiting Board

Strobl's success at the NBA Academy games is part of a broader trend in the Pittsburgh high school basketball landscape. The Pittsburgh Sports Now (PSN) team has been diligently tracking the recruitment of local players, compiling a comprehensive Pittsburgh High School Basketball Recruiting Board.The board currently features 17 players from the area who have received Division I or Division II interest. Among these players, 10 have reported receiving Division I offers, with nine coming from the WPIAL and one from the City League. Tyler Robbins, another standout from Upper St. Clair, leads the board with seven Division I offers, including recent additions from Miami (OH), Kent State, and Duquesne.The Pittsburgh High School Basketball Recruiting Board serves as a valuable resource for fans and coaches alike, providing a comprehensive overview of the talented pool of basketball players in the region.
