‘It’s trash’: Jaxson Dart is not a fan of his rendering in the new College Football 25 video game

Quarterback Jaxson Dart Voices Displeasure with College Football 25 Likeness

As the Southeastern Conference Media Days kick off in mid-July, the annual "talking season" begins, where coaches and players take the spotlight to share their thoughts and expectations for the upcoming college football season. This year, Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart used the platform to express his dissatisfaction with his digital representation in the newly released College Football 25 video game.

Dart Disappointed with Digital Likeness in Highly Anticipated College Football 25 Reboot

Dart Criticizes Digital Representation in College Football 25

When the much-anticipated College Football 25 video game launched on Monday, Jaxson Dart was quick to voice his displeasure with his digital player likeness. The Ole Miss quarterback, who was one of the tens of thousands of college football players to opt into the game's massive NIL deal, was not impressed with how his in-game character was portrayed."I mean it's trash," Dart said bluntly when speaking with Ole Miss reporters. "I don't know what they looked at. I don't know where they got that from, but that ain't me." The quarterback expressed his hope that the developers would make adjustments to his digital likeness throughout the year, similar to the updates made in the Madden NFL franchise.

Dart's Overall Rating Among Highest for Quarterbacks

Despite his disappointment with the visual representation, Dart can take solace in the fact that his in-game performance is highly rated. The Ole Miss quarterback has one of the highest overall ratings among quarterbacks in College Football 25, tied for third place with Alabama's Jalen Milroe, Kansas' Jalon Daniels, and Liberty's Kaidon Salter, all with a 90 rating.Dart acknowledged the excitement of being included in the iconic video game franchise, reminiscing about his childhood days of sneaking in late-night gaming sessions when his parents were asleep. "It's pretty cool, isn't it?" Dart added. "I grew up playing it. I was always the kid who when my parents went to sleep, I would try and sneak it on at night and play it. It'll be fun to kind of experience that, too. I just think that is something that's really cool."

Ole Miss Teammates Also Included in College Football 25

Dart was not the only Ole Miss player to have their likeness and ratings revealed in the new College Football 25 game. Wide receiver Tre Harris was among the Top 100 players rated by EA Sports and has one of the top ratings among receivers at 90.Harris expressed satisfaction with his rating but acknowledged that he would like to see it improved. "I'm satisfied with it. I do wish it was a little higher," Harris said. "But probably what I got to do is work on my route running a little bit more. Just go out there and play my game, be dominant receiver like I am and hopefully they're going to boost my overall a little bit more."As for Dart's digital likeness, Harris admitted he was "curious to see what mine looks like" but stated that his main focus was on his own in-game representation, rather than his quarterback's.The release of College Football 25 has undoubtedly generated excitement among college football fans and players alike. While Jaxson Dart may have been disappointed with his digital likeness, the opportunity to be featured in the iconic video game franchise is still a source of pride and excitement for the Ole Miss quarterback and his teammates.
